Day 4 of Organizing the Office

The three banker boxes and 2 bins still sit in the middle of the office. They were overflowing with papers and stuff. It seemed like I didn’t make progress in getting this office organized.

Over the past three days, I spent hours going through every binder, drawer and shelf. Also went through all the files. That generated 4 big garbage bags of trash.

I created space on the shelves and ended with a couple empty drawers while organizing. Cleaning out the 3 boxes and one of the bins happend in just a couple of hours.

The one side of my desk remains a disaster area but I feel burned out dealing with clutter… time to stop and do something different.

Part of my game plan included getting rid of the one computer and finish removing the carpet. I plan on painting the room this spring. With the boxes emptied and off the floor, the office had room to move about.

Good time to for me to remove the old computer and its desk out of the room… okay… hubby removed it.

He took out the rest of the carpet before bringing down the work desk. I now have a place to work on projects. It also a nice spot when using the laptop.

It was a good time to do some heavy duty cleaning.
